Oak wood from the EU
Underflod's cutting board has a very special history.
It was designed by the Danish company Underflod, whose mission is to manufacture products as far as possible exclusively from recycled wood - produced in social workshops and via the correctional service also in the Danish prisons.
The cutting board is made from recycled wood in the varieties of oak and walnut from donated Danish furniture.
The cutting board has a completely flat side and a side with grooves - perfect for cutting bread on, for example.
It is treated with a natural, transparent oil and the walnut version is available in a lighter European version as well as a dark American version.
If you buy a cutting board from Underflod, you are helping to support some of the vulnerable people and people with special needs who contribute to the production - and in addition to the social economic support, you are also buying a recycled product - produced locally in Denmark.
You can choose between two sizes:
- 50 x 31 cm
- 35 x 25 cm
You can advantageously give the cutting board a once-over. sunflower or grape seed oil, alternatively beeswax once in a while to freshen it up.
The cutting board should be washed by hand - not in the dishwasher.
Underflod's products are unique products, so all products have their own characteristics and do not necessarily look like the pictures. . It is natural and makes it something completely unique.
